The Former Origin Greats (FOGS) Indigenous Employment and Careers Expo is set to return to the Townsville Exhibition and Convention Centre this year on Wednesday October 6.

In 2009 this event attracted an estimated 2,500 Indigenous job seekers and school leavers from Townsville and surrounding regions who seized the unique opportunity to connect directly with prominent Queensland employment, education and training providers and mingle with Rugby League royalty. As well as being treated to an appearance by Jonathan Thurston, expo guests enjoyed special appearances by Queensland "Team of the Century" members Mal Meninga, Gene Miles, Allan Langer and Arthur Beetson.

In addition to not-to-be-missed employment opportunities and player appearances, this year the expo will feature a new Try-a-Trade display which will enable visitors to try the skills required in the construction, automotive, hospitality and health and beauty industries.
