Public Catering

The Centre has seven food and beverage outlets throughout the venue including bars, hot food outlets and a Cafe. These outlets will open, if consistent with the nature of the event.

Audio Visual

Our on-site technical team offers full production and technical facilities with the expertise to plan and co-ordinate your event requirements.

Our audio visual services consist of:

Ticketing

As the exclusive ticketing agent for all events held at the Centre, we are in a unique position to assist you in achieving the goals set for your ticketed event.

The Box Office has a proven track record in managing the ticketing requirements for a diverse range of events. During this time we have developed a good understanding of northern audiences and a flexible approach to finding ticketing solutions for all our clients.

Do you have an upcoming event at an alternative venue that you need to sell tickets for? We can do that too! The Centre's Box Office has sold tickets to a number of regional events including concerts, racing carnivals and special events. For more information on how we can sell your tickets please contact our Box Office Manager on 07 4722 0600.

Located at the main entrance to the Centre, the Box Office is open for counter bookings Monday to Friday from 9.00am to 4.30pm, with extended hours on event days. Alternatively, patrons may book through the Dial 'n' Charge system or online via the Centre's website.

Event Organisers will be sent a Ticketing Questionnaire that is required seven working days prior to prepare the event for sale to the public.

All ticketed events are automatically listed on the Centre's website and in our E-Newsletter, distributed monthly.

Event related flyers and posters can be distributed by the Centre prior to the event. A small fee is charged for this service.

Venue Services

Staging & Rigging

The Centre's quality mobile staging can be utilised for stage sizes up to 18m x 12m with pa wings. The Centre's rigging grid comprises 89 points with access via an extensive catwalk system.

Power

The Townsville Entertainment & Convention Centre has the capacity to supply a range of power to many locations throughout the venue. The extensive catwalk system also allows power to be dropped to any part of the Auditorium.

Communications

The Centre has various analogue and digital phone lines, facsimile and ADSL internet connections located throughout the venue.

Floor Plans

We can provide you with tailor-made scale drawings of your meeting, concert or conference room layout, and are able to introduce you to many Exhibition companies to assist with the co-ordination of all your exhibition requirements. Alternatively, we will work in partnership with the Exhibition company of your choice.

Access Capabilities

The Centre has direct vehicular access into the Auditorium from the rear loading dock. Heavy lifting equipment is also available to assist in the set-up of your event.

Additional Services

Security

At the Centre we have the same total commitment to our client's security that we have to our own. Our contracted security personnel understand the complexities of the Centre inside out, there’s nobody better qualified to protect you, your guests and your event.

Themed Events

We are only too happy to introduce you to a selection of professional event management companies who are the experts in developing concepts and designs to create your most memorable event to date.

Car Parking

More than 600 car park spaces are available surrounding the Centre, including 60 directly in front and 40 secure spaces for organisers at the rear of the Centre. Coach parking near the Centre is also available. Public transport, including buses and a taxi rank, operate from the main entrance to Jupiters Townsville Hotel & Casino, immediately adjacent to the Centre.

Event Organiser's Manual

The Event Organiser's Manual is issued to the organiser at contract stage. This manual provides general operational and procedural information to assist in the planning of events that are to be held at the Townsville Entertainment and Convention Centre.

Cleaning

All cleaning services are provided by the Centre, which ensures that all rooms are turned over to clients in exceptional condition.
