ANGUS & JULIA STONE

Summer Tour 2015

Featuring special guests Cloud Control, Little May & Jarryd James

Live Nation by arrangement with Artist Voice are pleased to announce ANGUS & JULIA STONE will return to Australia in February 2015, touring nationally in support of their latest release, the captivating self-titled third album, ‘Angus & Julia Stone’.

The Summer Tour 2015 follows their recent sold-out Australian album tour, and sees Angus & Julia Stone heading to capital cities and regional areas, performing at some of Australia’s finest and most iconic venues including Brisbane’s Riverstage, the stunning Kings Park in Perth, on the Sydney Opera House Forecourt and in the brand new and intimate Margaret Court Arena, Melbourne.

Currently on an extensive world tour, Angus & Julia Stone recently finished a sold out North American tour playing to capacity houses in New York, LA, Washington, Boston and San Francisco. This month they embark on a massive six-week 30-date headline tour of the UK and Europe, which like the US and Australia, has seen many shows selling out in advance.

Joining Angus & Julia Stone on the road for these very special summer evenings will be Cloud Control and Jarryd James on the full run of national tour dates, plus Little May for the shows in Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane and Perth.

Armed with their four-part dreamy harmonies, the internationally recognised and locally adored Blue Mountains turned London-based Cloud Control will be the main support on all shows, performing songs from their two critically acclaimed albums, ‘Bliss Release’ and ‘Dream Cave’.

Capping off a breakthrough 2014 with the release of their debut self-titled EP and an extensive run of shows around the country, Sydney trio Little May bring their sweet and soulful harmonies to the stage for selected shows across the country.

And finally, opening will be the gifted singer-songwriter Jarryd James, who will be sure to captivate with his beautifully rich and soulful R&B sounds.

Tickets for Angus & Julia Stone’s Summer Tour 2015 will go on sale at midday Friday, November 21.

My Live Nation members can be amongst the first to secure tickets during the exclusive pre-sale beginning this Monday, November 17 at 2pm (local time). For complete tour and ticketing details, visit: www.livenation.com.au

Captivating the world with their award-winning, triple-platinum, ARIA #1 album ‘Down The Way’ - led by the gentle anthem and triple j hottest 100 #1 song ‘Big Jet Plane’ - their latest album, produced by the legendary Rick Rubin, is quite simply the best record the siblings have ever made. Receiving much critical acclaim around the country and indeed around the world, the certified gold album debuted on the ARIA chart at #1, as well as hitting the top 4 in numerous European countries including the top spot in both France and Switzerland.

To coincide with the tour Angus & Julia Stone are releasing ‘Grizzly Bear’, the follow on from ‘Heart Beats Slow’ and ‘A Heartbreak’, and the third single to be lifted from the album.

KENNY FAREWELL DOWN UNDER TOUR

Grammy Award-winning country superstar and contemporary music icon, Kenny Rogers returns in January and February for his final performances ever in Australia, on the Farewell Down Under Tour.

Kenny has toured Australia and New Zealand numerous times — including his first visit as a member of the First Edition in 1973 (Rolling Through New Zealand Tour), with Dolly Parton in 1984 and 1987, with Reba McEntire in 1998 and again in 2008, 2011 and 2012 and says -

"For all of the traveling I’ve done around the world, Australia and New Zealand remain two of my favourite places to perform.

When I was with the First Edition, we made this same trip several times, and no matter how many times I’ve gone, I’ve always loved the audiences there.

They have a great sense of humour and have always treated me with such great respect, so for that, I say thank you.”

Since his sold out 2012 visit, Kenny has been honoured with an induction into the American Country Music Hall of Fame and the Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award – his 6th Country Music Association Award.  Previous prestigious accolades include 3 Grammy Awards, 18 American Music Awards, 8 Academy of Country Music Awards and sales of more than 120 million – 1 Diamond, 20 Platinum and 32 Gold albums, making him one of the Top 10 Best Selling Male Artists of All Time.

This year, Kenny has earned a Grammy Award nomination and CMA Award nomination, along with long-time friend and collaborator Dolly Parton, for their duet,“You Can’t Make Old Friends,”which is the title track of Rogers current critically acclaimed 32nd studio album.

The magical Kenny & Dolly reunion was only their 3rd time in the studio together since their Real Love hit in 1985.

Rogers is an enduring artist with a distinctive voice, gift for storytelling and universal appeal. He has consistently sold out venues where he performs from a chart-topping catalogue spanning 7 decades of multiple hits such as –

The Gambler; Lucille; Coward of the County; Ruby Don’t Take Your Love To Town; Reuben James; Lady; Islands in the Stream; She Believes In Me; We've Got Tonight; Daytime Friends; Sweet Music Man; Through The Years; You Decorated My Life; Buy Me A Rose; I Can’t Unlove You and many more.

As an actor, Kenny starred as Brady Hawkes in The Gambler – 5 films which became the longest running mini-series franchise on American television and another movie inspired by his hit, Coward of the County.

His autobiography, Luck Or Something Like It - A Memoir, was a New York Times Best Seller on release in 2012 and continues to receive stellar reviews.  Rogers has also produced several books of photography and earlier this year, received an Honorary Masters of Photography from the Professional Photographers of America.

Kenny Rogers is the singer, the musician, the songwriter, the photographer, the producer, the actor and of course…The Gambler!

Don’t miss your last chance to see the legendary Kenny Rogers on his Farewell Down Under Tour, with special guests ADAM HARVEY & BECCY COLE.
